Party Pooper

Aarrgghh! I'm not gonna join in the fun at the Blackbird Market tomorrow as I sorta have an ad-hoc laboratory experiment on PV solar cell at Bundoora campus tomorrow. According to my lecturer, tomorrow's noon is when Melbourne at its clearest sky. Lame, I know!

But the good news is that, there's always May for Fabulous Floral. Haha.

Fabric hand-printing my way!

Phew! At last I'm done with  fabric printing for my group members of Handprinted: A Fabric Swap III challenge. I had an amazing time despite having wasted few meters of fabric beforehand. Hahaha. Anyway it's gonna be a busy day for me at the post office tomorrow, as I'm yet to send out all the parcels for my lovely Rita, Ira, Angela, Jennet, Amy and Rachael. I'm such a queen of procrastination! Sigh. 'Nuff talking and let's talk about my way of doing the fabric painting shall we?

I know there are lotsa tutorials out there for fabric printing and one of the best method is the silk screen printing, where the fabric paint will come out smooth and perfect on the fabric. But apparently I'm a bit lazy to make my own screen so I opt to use a store-bought stencil (got it at cheap price from Spotlight!) and tape it on a piece of baking sheet paper. Creative right? Haha. I then used a sponge roller and roll the fabric paint onto the stencil gently. The result...just perfect! And if you ask me how do I feel about the outcome of it, I must say I'm pretty impress of myself too. Haha. 

Thought of doing more fabric painting for my upcoming flea market event lah. What do you reckon? ;)

P.s.: Crossing my fingers, hoping the ladies will love the fabric as much as I enjoyed doing it! :)

Hello! Been a while since my last post. And we've experienced so many things in life. Some of it were good things but some of it aren't. But some of the main highlights of our life for the past couple of weeks were Zorro has died *sob sob*, our marriage turns two! And few other good & bad things which I prefer to blog about it later. But all in all, we're thankful to Allah for all the good things we have and have had in our life. :)

We did a photo-shoot of these babies for Fabulous Floral and Insyallah it'll come out in one of the column for this one local magazine here in Malaysia. Sometimes in February perhaps. :)

The Unofficial Merisik

Last raya, the whole family was quite surprised with the unofficial merisik for my aunt and kenal-berkenalan session between our family and the guy's family. Alhamdulillah it went well. :)

So my family have asked us (knowing that we're doing this kinda thing with Fabulous Floral) to do a simple decor of buah tangan they got for the guy's family in order to return their favor. And here's what I did using the freshest flower I can possibly get, from my grandma's garden. ;)

Well anyway Salam Aidil-adha to all my Muslim friends & family! :)

2011 Top 100 Wedding Blogs

I'm very much involved in anything wedding nowadays. Just to feed me ( + husband's) satisfaction over, how should I say it...our previous wedding celebration where it's more like it's-not-our-wedding-but-theirs (the family) thingy. But I'd let go everything, few weeks before my wedding. Hence I'm married with an open mind. And praise to god, my solemnization and other wedding events went damn well. Our rezqi perhaps. :)

So as I googled around for more ideas and inspirations for my next client's event, I saw a list of top 100 wedding blogs for 2011. And the best part of it is most of the blogs listed there are definitely my ultimate references and liking which I always go oohh-la-la over their photos. ;)

Good food. Nice people. Great wedding.

March's a busy month for us and Fabulous Floral. I'm a bit restless here but then again I'm thankful to god for whatever rezekis that we had right now. :)

And I'm missing Mia, Toby and Riko too. Can't wait to catch our flight back to KL.

Hello Alor Setar!

Heading to north means there'll be lotsa and lotsa Nasi Kandar for us. ;)

Gosh...I can still feel the delicious curry of Nasi Royale dekat my anak tekak. :D
