Fabric hand-printing my way!

Phew! At last I'm done with  fabric printing for my group members of Handprinted: A Fabric Swap III challenge. I had an amazing time despite having wasted few meters of fabric beforehand. Hahaha. Anyway it's gonna be a busy day for me at the post office tomorrow, as I'm yet to send out all the parcels for my lovely Rita, Ira, Angela, Jennet, Amy and Rachael. I'm such a queen of procrastination! Sigh. 'Nuff talking and let's talk about my way of doing the fabric painting shall we?

I know there are lotsa tutorials out there for fabric printing and one of the best method is the silk screen printing, where the fabric paint will come out smooth and perfect on the fabric. But apparently I'm a bit lazy to make my own screen so I opt to use a store-bought stencil (got it at cheap price from Spotlight!) and tape it on a piece of baking sheet paper. Creative right? Haha. I then used a sponge roller and roll the fabric paint onto the stencil gently. The result...just perfect! And if you ask me how do I feel about the outcome of it, I must say I'm pretty impress of myself too. Haha.

Thought of doing more fabric painting for my upcoming flea market event lah. What do you reckon? ;)

P.s.: Crossing my fingers, hoping the ladies will love the fabric as much as I enjoyed doing it! :)

Sew Awesome: Wallet for Husband

Sewn my husband a gift. A handmade wallet inspired by Nati Con La Comicia. Made the pattern myself and self-constructed it and I'm pretty happy with the outcome of it (even though it's not that perfect). And at least I managed to save a good $40 for that. :)

I'm not sure if I need to do a tutorial for that. What do you reckon?

DIY Mini Cake Stand

I wasn't too keen to use it as my daily-use plate because of its fanciness so I made 6 pieces of mini cake stands out of it.

Fyi, I bought cheap ceramic mugs (with no handle) and glued it with super bond glue onto the bottom part of the plates and voila! I have myself mini cake stands for me to serve my cupcakes, cakes and cookies for this Raya celebration. :)

Nest

As soon as we touched down from London, they started all the minor renovation for our house. I must say, we're very much satisfied with the end product and we got everything that we want within our very small budget. :)

A thrift deco for our bedroom. Got to this for a super cheap price of RM10 from Sogo. :)

Macrame Necklace.

I'm not dependable on me husband but we always do stuffs together. When he's not around I get...all BORED. So I guess it's time for me to pick up reading and sewing and cooking and baking again.

Therefore I've found this for a starter (see below).
